Safe mode on BlackBerry smartphones

Safe mode can be useful on your BlackBerry smatphone when you want to prevent installed third party apps from running automatically on phone's start up. Also the safe mode on your BlackBerry is used to troubleshoot problems and other matters on your BlackBerry smartphone and to uninstall applications.

So how to start your BlackBerry into safe mode? It is really easy, just follow these three little steps:

• Turn off your BlackBerry smartphone, then remove and place the battery back in the phone.
• When the red LED goes out press and hold the Escape button on your BlackBerry device as the BlackBerry OS is loading untill you see the following dialog.



• Press OK and you are in safe mode.

Safe mode is indicated by a safe mode indicator in the BlackBerry smartphone status section of the Home screen. To turn off safe mode, remove and re-insert the BlackBerry smartphone battery. This safe mode hack works only on BlackBerry OS 4.6 to 4.7
