What to do if you drown your BlackBerry?

This might happen to everyone, my friend dropped his phone in the toilet, I have spilled a cup of coffee or other drink on my phone a couple of times. So it is a common thing, but what to do if this happens to you. The main thing is to get the water and the moisture from the phone. But what is the easiest way to do this.
Maybe you have heard of the "Rice Bowl" myth and maybe you have not, but this is what it saved my phone more then once. So lets say you have just drowned your phone and after doing that you just got it out of the water. First wipe it out with a dry cloth or toilet paper, whatever is available to you. Open the phone and take out the battery. Then take a bowl and fill it with dry uncooked rice and put all the parts of your phone in the rice. Since the rice is highly dehydrated it will take out the moisture from the phone. And how long should you leave your phone in the rice? I left my for the night and it worked just fine. I hope it does for yours too.
