Berry Snooper - Finds your lost or stolen BlackBerry
I'm not that old but I forget my BlackBerry every now and then. I forget it in my car, on my lawn chair, in the coffee shop, at my friend's place and even in office and then I worry after a while, where did I drop it? At times I wasn't sure if I left it in the office or in the car and finding it is a pain. The fact that every other BlackBerry today has a GPS triggered my search and I came across several apps that could help. I tried quite a few of them but what BerrySnooper does, others don't.
BerrySnooper has two modes. In the lost mode, you can send a text or email to your phone and it will send you back it's current location in a form of a map. A quick look at the map tells you where you left your phone. It's pretty quick and convenient. You can also send this alert request from BerrySnooper's website. The other mode is Stolen Mode. Once somebody changes the SIM-Card of your phone, BerrySnooper automatically puts itself in the stolen mode and starts sending you emails and text alerts with the current location of your phone. I've tried both these modes and the results are very quick and accurate.

1-Call your BlackBerry device from another phone. You may be pleasantly surprised to find that it slid under your car seat or is in your pants pocket in the laundry hamper.
2-Send a message to your BlackBerry smart phone from another phone. Through a text message, email or BlackBerry Messenger message, ask a potential finder to contact you. Consider offering a reward in your message.
3-Track it via PhoneBasics Lost & Find. If this application is on your BlackBerry, you can call it from an alternate number and it will send location details back to you in an email or text message. 4-Use Berry Locator to track your lost BlackBerry. If this app is installed on your smart phone, an email with a custom phrase will set off an alarm, flashing lights and a message to the finder. 5-If you lose hope of finding your BlackBerry, report it lost to your carrier. The line will be suspended and the device's electronic serial number will then be flagged to prevent activation by someone else.
